Forgehammer Of Gond

Santa was kind to me last night when I pulled a Forgehammer Of Gond from a Starlight Parcel. This was great timing for me as I literally just started Master Crafting a few days ago, and with 2x rp just around the corner (on PS4 at least), I can level it up quickly.

Now I have a question that I hope someone with a Forgehammer can answer. Once I have summoned the tool, do I have to keep the artifact equipped to still be able to use the tool? Or can I keep it as a 5th non equipped artifact in my inventory, or even better still in my bank? I'm just trying to determine whether or not I need to keep it equipped, because if I do then I may as well use one of my existing artifacts as a feeder.

When you activate the artifact it will summon the mythic tool, when the cooldown wore off you can take off the artifact and place it elsewhere, the tool will remain in the profession inventory bar.
