Mount packs from lockboxes not dropping all epic insignias

Anyone know why the Jungle Cat mount pack doesn't drop all insignias? Look at this:

The expensive ones are not dropping! No dominance insignias at all... Why?

It might be more accurate to say that, "The ones that don't drop are expensive." The don't drop, thus supply is lower. Lower supply means prices are higher.

As to how Cryptic settles on which ones to include, that would be anyone's guess.

That is also one of the conclusions in the video, although some of the little bit more expensive ones also drop. I just wonder why this is not explicit in the box description? Now it just says Epic Insignia. I know other mount boxes actually did explicitly say which ones were dropping.

you would really waste time discarding all them blue mounts than just give them away in pe cause I would of took one from you like anyone else would of done why I just don't understand why you would waste time opening up them Jungle Cat mount packs just to throw them on to the found kind of a waste when I never get any mounts from them

I kind of said it in the video, but this is on the preview server ;-) sorry if it wasn't clear enough

I'm not going to discard stuff on the live server... as I said in the video, the blue mounts are basically 12k each

I know, me too... But the point is that not all possible epic insignias are dropping. For some reason there is a limitation on the epic insignia selection and I don't understand why they would make such a limitation... It severely reduces the value of the mount boxes

You may have found a bug that is causing some insignias to not drop from that pack, thank you for posting. It could be intentional as well but that does seem a little strange as lockboxes are the only source for purple insiginas right?

Some of the replies in this thread are a little baffling, it's almost as if people didn't read what you wrote...

The mount packs have always had a selection of insignias which changes from pack to pack.

@noworries A nice qol change would be to revisit these boxes' tooltips and let us know which inisignias can drop. Why not actually?

These packs for example, state which insignia's are dropped (there might be more, but I didn't look further):

The fact that it isn't stated explicitly anymore made me (and probably many others) suspect that all insignias could drop... But it is what it is... Implementing the QOL change that kopros suggests would help prevent a lot of sad faces.

From my experience, you are much more likely to get a blue mount than even a weak purple insignia. The boxes are real garbage. I toss the blues and greens into the Stronghold coffer for slow progression....

More likely is an understatement :-)
Edit: Actually I misread

According to my test:
The chance for a blue mount is about 6% (3% per mount)
The chance for an epic mount is about 1.5% (~0.75% per mount) this could be 2% also and might have been bad luck in the test.
The chance for an epic insignia is about 1.5% for each individual insignia. Since 10 different ones can drop: 15% for an insig (but probably not the one you need)
The chance for a green insignia is EXACTLY 0% in the newest boxes ;-)

Hi i wonder if exist Enlightened insigia of gond in epic i see in AH in blue but never epic cuality and if exist wich lockbox should open ?

Well it is definitely dropping somewhere otherwise people could not sell it ;-). I know for sure that it's not dropping from the Jungle Cat mount pack..

It is probably related to the Wonders of Gond event

the point I'm getting at is that he could of asked in zone if anyone would of had wanted a blue cat mount for free i bet anyone would of said yes plz to him why i didn't understand why he dropped them onto the ground even if they where not special cause i know anyone would of been happy having that than a horse that got you know where

So this is *not* on the live server, but the preview server. If you come to the preview server I will give you 10 legendary resurgence packs, they are not worth anything there ;-), just like the blue/green companions. I can actually get as many mounts on preview as I want...

Once again, I (yes that's me in the video) would never just discard unbound companions/mounts like that on the live server... I have actually given away companions/mounts on the live server before, to someone new.

Hope this clears things up.

never played on a preview server but you can find me in the game by my handle name cause the only thing I have ever won from a lockbox was just one legendary rex and one legendary flying carpet for how I haven't won anything else
