Armor enchants need some dev attention. If you agree, great. If not then lets discuss.
Draco Metallum GF - Tank stuff till dead Draco Metallum GWF - Hit stuff till dead Draco Metallum CW - Debuff stuff till dead Draco Metallum DC - Buff stuff till dead
I want to see the devs continue to make passes at buffing underpreforming weapon and armor enchantments so they are on par with the meta enchantments.
However, I'm not sure I agree with your approach of giving a set bonus to similarly themed enchantments. Its an interesting idea but I think it would either end in players feeling pigeon holed into using matching enchantments even if they don't want to or it would fail altogether by not being a strong enough incentive to ditch your meta mismatched enchantments. It also would not address the likelihood that certain pairs would become meta and other pairs would remain inferior. Your idea would probably still add more variety than we currently have but current variety is a pretty low bar and I want to see better.

I also would prefer to see enchantments get a buff pass to add some variety. The idea os "set bonuses" is nice but I agree that it would take away options more than add variety.

At first I liked the idea of set bonuses, but on reflection, for the reasons others have stated, it would be a drag on the game.

yea that's nice.. let me know how you feel about a balance pass on current armor enchants though.

As I am interested in why, would you care to expand on your opinion?
We got a lot things that devs should look on it, but not on armor enchants. I dont see why they need devs attention. Armor enchants are fine now. We dont need any new gimmick enchants/enchant sets now. We need devs attention on a lot other stuff.

Ah, so for you it is a queue thing, more important things in the queue that need attention first. Then add to that the fact you don't see a problem. Got it.
The devs said they'd look at them at some point but when that'll be, well, nobody can say. They are busy with a lot of other things atm, not least - the results of the October bugfest.
They do need looking at as the game has changed a lot since they were introduced and they need to reflect the current reality of T3 dungeons.

I have absolutely no clue what you talking about....i cant see anything about queue in my post....
Thx for your answer and putting words in my mouth... i knew why i thought i shouldnt answer..
I don't think he meant the in game queue. He appears to be using the word que as a synonym for to-do list. He means that you want essential issues to get priority over non essential ones.
As for my take on your posts, I agree that armor enchantments are not a priority #1 issue but they are still an issue nonetheless. Many armor enchantments are still outdated and can't compete with the meta enchantments. This has made it so many armor enchantments are unappealing and almost nobody uses them as a result. I do see a problem here and I would like to see this get addressed at some point.

Not "The Queue" but the queue of things waiting for the developers to work on. Let me refrase my answer differently so you can understand what I meant: "so for you it is a what is on the list for the developers already thing, more important things on their list that need attention first.

Thank you trgluestickz for wording it much better then I did. I didn't realize how my use of "queue" could be misunderstood by someone, but once I read spiey's response I realized it was a poor choice of words on my part.

Does that make more sense?
