Solo q matchmaking

Ok I'm not entirely sure that it's the first 5 people too accept the q are on one team. The next 5 are on another team. But it seems like that's the case. So why the HAMSTER is it called solo q? If you know how to team up with friends it's not a solo q.

Did you test it? It would explain some weird stuff that happens when teams are formed. Still ,it would be extremely stupid...i mean, they have a matchmaking algoritm...
All the declines we get are most likely people trying to sync queue. May be the timing when it comes to accepting the match, also play a role O.o

It's pretty clear that they're forming 'random' teams based on the order of acceptance when the queue pops. That explains why, every time you queue, it gets rejected 8 or 10 or 20 times before the match finally starts - it's because the pre-mades are talking in voice chat and don't feel confident that they all accepted close enough together. The obvious solution to this is for them to re-randomize teams after accepting 10 players.

There does seem to be an IL element of the matchmaking as well - or at least people trying to game the system think there is, because I've seen a ton of people queuing with either no armor, or with all the enchants unslotted and then putting them back in after the match pops. I had to laugh this weekend when a guy on my team says 'hey - there's a 9K IL GWF on that team, i'm gonna find him!.... oops, never mind, he's 15k now, I wonder what happened'.
