Sale?

Is there going to be another Black Friday sale just like we had last year with the 40% off the market?? I don't want to charge now and miss out on things other than the charge rewards.

If there is a Zen store sale, it will probably be announced on Friday - their policy is not to announce it in advance (leaking it on the Preview server like they once did was just an accident).

I am hoping to see some kind of a sale - I need around 1000 Preservation wards to upgrade my enchants.
    Hoping for improvements...

It's ridiculous NOT to announce it, why do they want a stampede of people buying Zen overloading their systems once they announce it, rather than people spreading the purchases over several days. Also causes panic when the Zen doesn't turn up for some hours as happened to me last year.

Exactly, I agree. Not announcing it in advance would end up just causing an overload on the purchase server. And if there isn't going to be one, then there better be a HUGE end of the year or Christmas type sale

Why? Because they probably can 'earn' more money this way. They have a Zen sales right now. People who bought Zen from Zen sales may spend the Zen in Zen store right the way. If players know for sure there will be a sales, they will wait and less amount Zen will be spend.

The announcement of the upcoming sales basically would stop current sales.
They learned that lesson in the very first 50% off sales. They put that in preview server. Everybody knew it and that basically stopped/slowed their sales for more than a week. And, at that time, they did not even mean to announce it.

While I understand why they don't announce the sales, I wish they would as if it goes like last year, Id wait until Monday for the 50% cyber Monday sale rather than buying at 40% off over the weekend. But then if I wait and there is no 50% cyber Monday sale, I miss out.

Do you NEED what you are buying? If not, then there is no loss from waiting:

-If there is a sale, you get to take advantage of it.
-If there isn't a sale, you are no worse off than before.
-If you want to buy ASAP to resell at high prices to make a profit.... well, that's what THEY'RE doing. Trying to make a profit.

Its the free market. Take a chance, or play it safe. 'Wishing' it were different does nothing.

I also have no problem with them not announcing sales. They are not obligated to give a sale at all. If no Black Friday sale is announced I'll wait till Monday. And it's been mentioned before several times no doubt that historically, they have never announced a Zen Store sale in advance until the day they give us one.

Just one slight problem with your recollection of last years' sale(s), there was no 50% Cyber Monday sale. Instead, it was simply 40% off for the whole weekend taking in Black Friday and Cyber Monday:

    https://www.arcgames.com/en/games/xbox/neverwinter/news/detail/10280243-black-friday-weekend-sale-40%-off-everything!

Back in 2015, there were two 50% sales. One on Black Friday and another on Cyber Monday. This is the link for the Cyber Monday blog announcement:

It is possible they will do things differently again this year but we wont know one way or the other until it happens :)

Not saying they should announce it way in advance, but when the charge bonus started would help.

I know 50-100 people who are not buying zen till they know what's happening, which will cause a massive rush when it is if this is typical.

If they have the problems they had last year (long wait for purchased Zen to hit account and nearly meant I couldn't use it before going out for the remainder of the duration of the sale), with people only buying on the day, will be a support nightmare.

I'd be curious to know how many of the people who had long waits for Zen, did so because of normal circumstances (Steam, first time purchasers, new or suspect payment methods) and how many were legitimately from 'the rush'. I bought during the busy season last year, and got the Zen within seconds.

Mine was normal Arc purchase, not first time, delay was only a few hours (not the few days you get with Steam), but that was important at the time (I was only around for the first few hours of the sale then away and off net for the weekend)

Most of the time, I purchase with either Paypal or an actual Credit Card (non-prepaid). Some payment processors treat pre-paid CCs and Debit (or Bank) cards different than actual Credit cards. Its too personal to get into in a forum, but some of these things may be the cause for *some* people. (Also, geographic locale can play a part.... out of the U.S.A., even in Canada, can be treated differently).
