Samurai = Great Weapon Fighter

astrotiger5astrotiger5 Member Posts: 157 Arc User
If(when) a Samurai character class is created, it has the same characteristic as Greater Weapon Fighter (with the Japanese weapon...I don't remember what it called) and many of GWF trait as well...just say!

    This is Neverwinter. Not Kara-Tur.
    I'm not looking for forgiveness, and I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender, so we're here to fight. And if you want to stand in our way, we'll fight you too.

    I'm guessing that there is no need to worry about a Samurai class. Ever. Like forever ever.

    More likely that they would introduce some Samurai-inspired armor/weapon skins I think than a Samurai class.

    If they felt the need to create a Samurai this is how they should do it in my opinion.

    Monks were introduced to 5e. I believe we are in danger of meeting some samurai in PE at some point. :P

    Monks were introduced in 1st Ed, so there's no rush to pop a Monk class in the game.

    And if we want to include Dragon Magazine then so were Samurai and Ninjas. LOL

    And Cavaliers. I want a Cavalier that can fight while mounted.

    Bad news, your wiki says there were Cavaliers in the 1st edition of Forgotten Realms. Look up Montar Kaspar as an example. Also your Wiki has followed the TSR/WotC official line and included Kara-Tur as part of the Forgotten Realms and thus there are Samurai and Ninjas in the Forgotten Realms. Maybe not in the Sword Coast, or at least very rare, but based on the Wiki you site, they exist in the Realms. Sorry.

    Well if the internet wiki says it, it must be true O_o

    Started playing pen and paper AD&D1AD in FR and there is a S%$T TON of boxes and modules. Without even looking I can almost guarantee you just about every race and class shows up somewhere in there.
