Curse Colours - what do they mean?

manufracturemanufracture Member Posts: 92 Arc User
So I have been playing SW for sometime now (maybe a year?) and I have noticed that the curse icon sometimes has difference colors which I am yet to fully understand what they all mean. I have managed to create different curse icons with different colors but as the Title Suggests I would love to actually know what they mean or if they are all just cosmetic.
  1. Applying Warlocks Curse via shift = full horned purple curse
  2. Applying lesser curse via "All Consuming Curse" and just doing damage = hornless green curse
  3. Applying lesser curse via "Gates of Hell" = hornless orange curse
  4. Applying lesser curse via "Hand of Blight" = hornless red curse sometimes and hornless blue curse other times

Anyone managed to figure this out and/or discover different curse icon / types?

    The full horned one is the regular warlock curse.
    The green one is the lesser curse, doesn't matter if it procced from ACC or any other mechanic.
    The purple hornless curse from HoB is not a lesser curse, but the debuff HoB applies to a target, reducing its damage.
    The orange one from gates of hell I actually don't understand what it does, and sometimes I don't even see it.
    There is also the curse icon of WB and TC which you probably know already.

    Actually the blue one from hand of blight happens only if you proc lesser curse on the target. Might be the same thing with the one from Gates of hell, just a lesser curse with different color.

    Hey, and there is the red one too, lol
    The one from GoH is more yellowish I believe. Will have to check again.

    Yeah, no idea how to play warlock anymore. Hope someone can share more light on this for you.

    abaut colours curse yep after damnation nerfed on first week i saw diferents color curse in path of damnation HB but dimish that visual effect no more has been seen

    Red curse= ? this applied by soul puppet
    Blue curse=? this applied by change target
    Orange =Gates of Hell
    Purple with horns=Warlock curse
    Green=Lesser curse

    will be interesting in mod 13 with warlocks change back red and blue curse but how part a effect of determined curse synergy for example on curse synergy that cause near foes take all damage recived from primal target (fiery bolt case) change/aply color curse red. when on curse synergy cause enemy take more damage (dreadtheft ) change/aply curse blue it will be fantastic and sw's can track down ours effect and get more effective
