Fish Bug or Glitch = Multi Fish in one cast

Spending time fishing in chult I came across a weird bug or possible glitch. If I press W key before pressing my right mouse button to bypass rank 1 fish sooner or later I end up receiving 2 fish each cast.
This also results in me fishing up 2 boots 1 cast and even 2 trophies 1 cast.
I am unsure why this happens but It has happened now two days in a row.

    There us reportedly a spot where 2 biomes overlap that causes this to happen. Do you know if you could have just been creeping forward into the same area each time?

    I don't do fishing in Chult. However, I was trapped by dino and did not want to fight. I decided to just jump to the river. Since I was there, I just decided to do fishing. I got 2 fishes every time. I did not stay long because inventory was filling up and I wanted to finish other jungle quests. I did not do anything special with buttons and mouse.
