Experimental Astral Shield change

I just have a small question,
Preview game version advanced (new patch notes) without further Astral Shield tweaks.

Does this mean that the "Astral Shield experiment" is over and the change will eventually go live as stated?

Please, consider our (DC) feedback, many of us constructively disagreed while simultaneously providing alternatives.
