Open World PVP RE-Introduction.

With the recent changes to the game:
  • Introduction of mini world bosses system, (hunts)
  • And in pvp mainly that you won't need to grind another piece of gear.
I believe that we could add some more open world pvp areas besides the ICW pass, and dwarven valley ones. That would make it easier for ppl to get into pvp and, reintroduce that spec of the game.

For example in Sohenstar River, you could have the mini bosses spawned over a certain spot every 10mins.That area would be an open world pvp one and you would finally be able to kill that player who is trying to steal the venomtail poison you are trying forever to farm. That would make the game so much more interesting in so many ways...
  1. You can make new friends or forge new alliances to kill the pvper that kills you all the time
  2. Blow some steam instead of nagging to the zone chat.
  3. In areas such as SR, with the hunts system the cost to get the new gear, (rex gear) would be more accessible since the farm will be reduced or at least planned down to regular spawns in open world pvp spots.
  4. It would also be more player and community friendly to have a planned spawned and take your chances in pvp to get rather than killing the mods endlessly in the same spot for a chance at the mini bosses.(which usually ends without a mini boss appearance and guess what, devs are going to be blamed :p )
  5. You could farm in 2 different ways, farming the cruel way it is now, or pvping your way to a reasonable spawn time drop (certain minutes period)
  6. You could even use a timer event to notify players in the zone, such as in the RiverDistrict area that notifies you the merchant is at the port, or that the guards are under attack.
  7. In a new area that is overcrowded and OVER farmed to the point that you can't find a mob to kill to complete your quest that would allow higher tier player to compete in pvp area rather than running all the map from the start to the finish to find the appropriate mod to kill.
  8. Other than that, lower geared player, wouldn't have to compete in a losing game with higher item level player throughout the map, to find that mob, in a "fight" that mount speed matters and most can't afford legendary mounts.

There are many more ways that pvp world can add fun to the game, one of those is the re-introduction of open world pvp areas.

That would be really brutal...even for heavy-handed moderators...
    :D :D sorry couldn't resist ;)

Jokes aside, I think that a second option to grind stuff via open PvP is a good idea!
    Le-Shan: HR level 80 (main)
Born of Black Wind: SW Level 80

Yes, can not be a requirement, there would be nothing wrong with PvP optional ways to aquire these things in open world, but to force ppl will ruin the experience for many.

The last thing this game needs is more 'no-go' areas for players who are not remotely interested in PVP. Large chunks of IWD are off-limits to large numbers of players due to the predatory antics of some of the PVP players who inhabit them. Bringing that sort of nonsense into other areas in the game would be disastrous. PVP needs to be kept completely separate to PVE as the two are incompatible.
