How do you turn off those annoying , distracting announcements that fly in the middle of the screen every time someone buys something , & Why did they even put that on the game in the 1st place ?

Those arent direct purchases. The pop ups are winners of rare items from lock boxes. Unfortunately, there is no way to turn them off.

They want to show you all the fancy stuff other people got and to trigger you to open lockboxes too.

You should have seen it after the 50% key sale. Game was unplayable due to the constant stream of lockbox announcements. Made Dragonflight impossible.
