Hi Everyone,

Returning player here. Left the game during icewind dale. I used to do the skirmish and dungeon hour events for my diamonds but I never see them now.

Do they only happen on certain days now ? All i get is PVP events - but I don't PVP so they don't do me much good.

    You get AD for the first 2 dungeons and first 2 skirmish of the day. After that, the amount of AD is a lot lower.
    If you do invocation, you get AD bonus (which is not actual AD). AD bonus is a pool.
    When you do invocation, it adds AD bonus to a pool. The max is 100K AD bonus.
    Whenever you get rough AD from a game, you will get extra 50% if the pool has enough to cover it.

    For example, say, your AD bonus pool has 3000 AD.
    You earn 2000 rough AD through salvage, you will get 3000 rough AD and the pool becomes 2000 AD.
    You earn 5000 rough AD again, you will get 7000 rough AD (instead of 7500) and the pool becomes 0.

    There is no dungeon hour event anymore. You can get dungeon AD in any time.

    The daily rough AD refinement limit is now 36K. It used to be 24K.

    Ok that explains why i wasn't getting AD from invoking.

    So I guess I should always wait to refine until I have invoked a bunch of times.

    There is a silver ball type thing close to your avatar. You can move your mouse to it to see how big your AD bonus pool currently is.

    Not exactly, refining rough AD doesn't use the bonus AD pool. Bonus AD is used when you receive the rough AD, so you should invoke a bunch of time before running content that gives rough AD (or salvage).

    Also I don't remember if dungeons keys were a thing yet in Icewind Dale or if you could just open the chest during the dungeon delves, anyway, now you need key. You can get a free daily key from the key master near the market.

    Dungeon keys were added in either mod 3 or 4 but they were in addition to Dungeon Delves. You only used them when running outside the event. That changed sometime between mod 5 and when I returned in mod 9.
