[PC] Stuck on connecting to account server

About 24 hours ago the launcher became unresponsive for me. After putting in password and pressing "Login" the message "Connecting to Account Server" displays but nothing happens. In addition every link at the top of the launcher launcher works except "Options" which does nothing. Rebooting the machine does not solve the issue.

Windows 10.


Any advice?

    Windows compatibility assistant suggested running the launcher in windows 8 compatibility mode and that fixed it. Though I did note the launcher then said it was downloading a new dll while patching, but it never got that far before the compatibility mode. Can't explain it.

    Try to disable proxy servers in the launcher options. Looks like you have troubles with login servers.
    Check firewall permissions for "GameClient.exe".

    Try to run the game directly via windows command-line:
    cd /d "C:\[PATH TO THE LIVE DIR]\neverwinter_en\Neverwinter\Live"

    start /b "" "GameClient.exe" -NoAutoRotateLogs -Locale English -Server 208.95.186.96 -Server 208.95.186.98 -Server 208.95.186.131 -Server 208.95.186.64 -Server 208.95.186.170 -Server 208.95.186.166
