Is the Orcus set the best when building DO DC for DPS or would WIS belt and Company cloak with max initial WIS ability score be better? Or maybe just WIS belt and any AP gain neck, or even MW II set with Sphene belt for extra Recovery?
On a side note, is Lightning good to use or Dread is a must have for DPS?

Otherwise the 6% damage boost from going with a +4 belt and matching stronghold cloak was the way to go.
Someone else is probably smarter than me on weapon enchants, but i don't think clerics have the proc rates to make good use of any of the % weapon damage weapon enchants.
(Also, Divinity Searing Light with Lightning is hilarious in Spellplague... can you say "1800 Noscope Collateral"?)
Lightning doesn't work properly with Daunting Light or Chains of Blazing Light, but It may still be okay with enough targets around. I really only did math for single target, where lightning is pretty useless for DPS DC. With the bonding/enchantment changes, both Dread and Feytouched are on the table as far as I am concerned (worth noting that I don't have up to date numbers with bonding changes, but Feytouched was decently within reach before bonding changes, so if your crit rate can no longer reach 100%, Dread takes a nerf while Feytouched remains the same).

My reasoning about Orcus and WIS was similar. I guess when deciding to go for WIS belt and Company Cloak getting max WIS from initial ability score is a must.
So I could safely use Trans Feytouched and don't worry about getting Dread unless I hit 100% crit (or don't even focusing on reaching 100% and keep it around 60-80%) or would it be better to grab even R8 Dread for 40% crit sev? Sticking with Fey would save me a lot of trouble since I am (will) be using Fey on two other characters. I'm getting most of my crit from +4 companion gear for Sellsword/Rebel Mercenary with 6 Azures I move between characters, so I'm working on getting my DC through campaigns and build mainly for DO and towards DPS to use the gear I already have on other classes (like account bound +5 rings I swap already).
@darthtzarr About (DPS) DO DC if you don't mind answering, I don't want to make another thread. Is it worth running three Dragon Hearts (Black main) for reduced cooldown or just Black with Artificer's Persuasion? When it comes to stats, I was thinking about stacking Power/Recovery on character (mainly Silvery) and getting Crit from companion. Another question on the issue I'm kinda clueless is the mount equip power on DO DC, on AC it's pretty obvious - Snail for more AP gain, but on DO I'm not sure. Crit, Recovery or maybe Griffon to use with Black Dragon Hearth and Artificer's Persuasion?
Because of the upcoming changes I highly recommend keeping armor pen on yourself (you need 85% just like a DPS class or you might as well not call yourself a DPS DO DC). At least while using dread, crit is utmost priority, power is nice, and recovery is nice. Just because it won't affect you for awhile, doesn't mean you want your entire investment invalidated when it does hit your server.
I personally just use the DC sigil, but I assume the best idea would be to run only the heart of the black dragon as active, and stat artifacts as secondary. The extra dragon hearts would be overkill IMO and their stats are horrible.
I like using Quick Action on my DO, but the Crit, Arpen, or Power ones are also nice if you need the stats.

In contrast wisdom belt gives you +2 wisdom, -2 strength, +530 defense - 530 crit. Since the focus is dps, i felt like the loss crit and strength didn't warrant the wisdom gain.
Same logic for taking the Company Duelist cloak, sure you get +2 wisdom and +2 dex (useless) but at the expense of the ap gain, 520 crit and 530 recovery. I don't think the +2 wisdom offsets the stat decrease.
You don't really need artificer build if you want to truly be a dps dc, because your dailys are not all that effective damage dealers Also using HG helps your party deal damage so you will likely end up higher on paingiver if you don't use artificers or HG. Now if you want to focus more on debuff/dps, then black dragon as primary, miss your target and using artificers is the way to go, with that focus I use griffon bonus to offset the lack of recovery a dps dc stacks. With 8k recovery and artifcers/griffon i can perma-HG (as long as not stunned). To perma-HG your looking at needing 12k more recovery (atleast) without artificers/griffon. That 12K would have to come from stats your currently spending on power or crit. Obviously 12K stat is more than 4k stat from other mount bonuses.
