Chat Bug

A week ago I noticed in the chat I wasn't seeing any posts from other players such as zone, trade, say, alliance chats. I can only see my own posts, system notifications, admin notifications, and my bf tried this out and he sent me a pm and i was able to see that as well. All the other chats have not been showing, I even went to protective's enclave just in case I was just in a place where no one was talking and when I switched over, there were still no posts being shown and I know for a fact that in Protective's Enclave, players are always posting something. At first I thought I messed with the settings accidentally or something but I looked and they are all checked. I even "reset all channels to defaults" and still nothing. I reported it to the support team and they emailed me back and told me to post it here. Also another thing. My bf went on his account on Neverwinter and it was showing on his xbox. I tried going on his xbox with my account and still nothing so I believe its a bug on my account. Hope this post helps figuring out the bug.

What level is your character? There are some pretty severe restrictions on chat, AH and few other things for characters that have not completed the questline to a certain point. Somewhere around level 30ish they unlock, last I read. But, I'm not sure it would affect your ability to read chat. I've never experienced it myself, been playing since before it was started.

This commonly happens when your Xbox privacy settings prevent you from communicating with other players. See this thread for example:

My character level is 70. I haven't had a problem before until a few weeks ago.

Unable to send or receive messages in in-game chat from any player, guild or alliance UNLESS part of a group. Was told this was a bug affecting some players. PAY for VIP, been playing for a year - didn't know it was broken until recently. (Thought it was strange that i never got GUILD notifications.) Anyone else having this issue? lvl 70 character - again been playing for almost a year, so all 1-60 quests and campaigns are completed.
