Why?!?!?

I recently got back into the game about 3 days ago started leveling my TR to 70 got about halfway there and got bored and wanted to start a new character then I remembered why I stopped playing in the first place, many of the things in the zen market it's understandable, but inventory and bank space is so severely limited unless there's something I'm missing if you don't want to spend money there's not much you can do about it if you're a casual player

Playing through the questline, you will earn 3 bags plus the starter.
Use both characters(or more), on one store all bound to account stuff and BTC, on the other store unbound and BTC, transfer as needed.
Start a guild, even if you are the only member(need 5 to start though) you can use the guild bank for storage.

These are few things players do until they have a chance to acquire bigger and more bags and bank slots.

Also mail things to yourself. If you don't have VIP with access to a mailbox wherever you may be, only mail things you won't use frequently.

Also, and it is a pain in the backside, run Dungeons/Skirmishes often. You can use the Astral Diamond Exchange to convert Diamonds to Zen, you're looking at about 95 Zen a day (Your 36k diamond limit) per character as the current rate stands.

Also of note, the level 21 version of Cragmire Crypts, the bosses can sometimes drop Unbound artifacts to sell, the Lantern going for about 60k atm.

A few days of grinding out and you'll be able to buy more bags without ever spending an actual penny

The next update for Mod 12b will see a BIG change to refinement.

RP will become the same as a currency, and all Refinement Stones will apply the same value to all items (you won't see Thaum Stones being valued at 1/5 for artifact for example...), this will mean FAR fewer stones, and you won't need to hoard them. You can refine them into your account "pool" and use the points as you wish for any individual refinement.

This should clear up a lot of space in bags.

Did something change? I thought once items were turned into refinement points they were bound to character.

They are, but it still helps with space as there is no reason not to convert BTC items. Unbound and BTA, you may still want to hold until you decide when and where to use them, but there is no reason to keep them on your main. Combined, this should free up a fair bit of space on mains and a somewhat lesser amount on alts.

Yeah... but you won't have four thaum, four res, four union, four, power, four stability, and all the other individual pearl, peridot, etc up to brilliant diamond, applying three different states of Bound. (Not, Account, Character)

By all means if swapping about multi[ple characters is an issue have one alt hoard the unbound and account bound variations... that clears up everyone else.

BtC... just refine straight away. Even if they introduce a new variant of double RP where the amount you refine into your account is doubled and you deicde to save your RP stones, its still a Hell of a lot fewer stones to hoard per character sheet.

So are there two pools? One for account and bound to character? It was mentioned above about a account pool that any character could from.

You misunderstood, there is one pool. What was being said is that currently there are three states to RP and you need to save all three types. Under the new system you will only need to save a max of two of the states.

The point we were trying to make is that you should convert any and all BTC RP as soon as you pick it up or shortly after. These items will take no space in inventory. Freeing up space.

Other RP that is picked up should be shifted to alts, bank or your preferred storage method. BTA and unbound can be stored until you are ready to use it, or if you refine on other characters or converted into their pools saving more space, but I suspect most will hoard these types until we know what kind of refinement events will occur in the future.

Thanks for clarifying that. That is what I understood in the first place, the wording in this thread confused me a little bit.

You will porbably find that far fewer R5 enchants drop in day to day play, as well. These will be replaced with the new refinement stones.

It also means that Sharandar will quite possibly become a lor more relevant to farming RP, as the daily 9 green Thaums will be replaced by the new stones that will replace Thaum, Pow, Union, Stab and Res.

I'm not sure what the impact will be regarding Utility enchantments like Quartermaster, Fey Blessed and Dragons Hoard, but from the sound of it, the new system will be a huge improvement on what we currently have.
Particularly in regard to storage space.

Of coure, since Rank 14 is the new Max, we are going to need a LOT of RP to get there.

Well, (on PC), you still get the special enchants like Quartermaster and Black Ice just like before - it's basically just the Azure/Dark/Radiant/Silvery that drop less than before (but you still get plenty with the Fey Blessing).

We have not had a CTA after mod 12B hit, so I have no idea what will happen with Brutal/Cruel/Vicious/Savage drops.

As for getting to Rank 14, the bottleneck is not refinement points, but the Unobtainab...eh Ultimate Enchanting Stones. With the drop rate I am seeing, it will take me four years of grinding per character )or 100.000.000 AD per character) to get back to BiS.
    Hoping for improvements...
