So how does the multiple legendary companion bonus work?
If I have 5 leg companions (all active or summoned), do I get the 31% of my summoned companions stats? (this is what I was assuming)
Or is it 16% of the first companion, then 8% of the second companion etc? (this is what console players are being told by PC players)
If this is the case, how does it know which companion I want to be the 8%, and do I need to gear out all of my companions and put runestones on them?
It just doesn't make sense in my head - but there are a lot of things in this game that don't make any sense in my head so I'm willing to believe that it would be possible that they would have done it that way. Can anyone enlighten me?

The only caveat may be if you are using either a ranged or defender summoned companion as your "main" or "solo" companion, but you need to switch to a melee striker in group content to avoid your pet dying during certain dungeons or spinning the boss while frustrating your party's tank. In those cases keeping a second set of companion gear (not enchants or bondings though) for easier swapping can make sense.
I was not looking forward to that.
