Leveling 'Lock Question

Hey all. I've got my SW to 60 running Garl's HB Fury build without much problem, but I'm having some survivability issues now. It wasn't an issue up to this point, because I could burn down everything so fast, but the mobs now are much tougher. Anyone have a solo/leveling/daily build they can suggest? My main is an OP, so I know I'm going from what felt like God-mode to extreme squishiness in my Warlock, but maybe a different build will help some of that?

Lifesteal boon if your guild has one and try to keep mobs inside your Pillar. BoVA helps a lot as well. As long as you slip away from anything that would one shot, you will keep healing to full health.

    PoP+Hellish Rebuke+BoVA= constant LS procs.

I'm currently running Killing Flames, Fiery Bolt, and PoP for my encounters when running solo. What would you recommend replacing with BoVA? Also, where should my Lifesteal be numbers wise? Thank you for responding btw.

I run the same encounters when in content where it isn't likely I will get killed. For harder content, I swap out KF for BoVA. Keeping FBolt makes it easier to deal with trash mobs while elites are easy to just move away from their hits.

10% LS chance and up. If that isn't feasible for you, take Vampiric Embrace for your third encounter. If using VE be sure to take advantage of its curse consume for the temp hit points. If your target is inside PoP and of course cursed, half your HP bar can turn yellow. That can stop hits that would one shot you.

Tyrannical Curse is also useful if you hit a mob with a lot of health, it can provide a ton of life steal procs.

I kind of agree with the person who posted before I did.

Your issues may be= low lifesteal= you can't get your hp back fast enough to survive fights.

Low resistance ignored (RI)= low damage to enemies which in turn means if you get to lifesteal it won't heal you much and enemy groups will continue to overwhelm you.

    Suggestions to address both problems=

    - Prince of hell= this passive power gives you both RI (you need to to negate enemy defense and deal 100% damage to them) an d lifesteal, imo it's a must four you at the moment.

    - Dark one's blessing/shadowalk= either one gives you a significant boost to lifesteal plus a few more bonuses like more lifesteal severity (DOB so when you lifesteal you get more hp, base lifeteal severity is 100%) or higher base movement speed (shadowalk).

    Encounters=

Pillar of power, fiery bolt (for groups, replace it with killing flames in boss fights) and arms of hadar. The reason why I suggest you arms of hadar is because even though it doesn't have the damage potential of other encounters, in your case it boost your survability significantly as they knock enemies down, are fairly spammable and do an okay job at both single target and aoe damage.

    Daylies=

Tyrannical curse= vs groups of enemies where one enemy has a lot more hp than rest, cast the power on it and hit it with everything you got.

Gates of hell= for groups of enemies where they all are fairly low to medium hp, you can potentially 1 shot a group of 5 weak enemies. If you are on console make sure you go to options and deactivate aoe assist targetting so you can use it much faster and wherever you wish. Gates of hells is one of the (if not the most) most powerful single target attacks you got, considering that and that hellish rebuke is also one of your main sources of damage, you should absolutely take the fury feat "gatekeeper's empowerment" to increase their damage. Note that your hellish rebuke won't benefit from that feat if you use the passive power "no pity no mercy" so at least for now I suggest you to refrain from using it.

Flames of plegethos= single target, it does a lot more damage than brood of hadar as it interacts correctly with the fury capstone "Creeping death" (brood of hadar doesn't so if you use you are losing a lot of damage) which I asume you took if you following garlaanx build.

    Atwills=

Spam hellish rebuke, no other atwill can compare to this one. Dark spiral aura is a decent option when fighting groups of enemies, learn to use it correctly and it boosts your action point gain in an okay way.

Look at your character stats, scroll down to the submenu "ofensive" and look at your resistance ignored (RI), you absolutely want to have it to 60% so you can deal full damage to all enemies in current content, mod 12 ones will require you to have 75% - 85% depending on enemy type so I sugggest you to stay away from it for a while (in case you run alone) while you gear your toon up, if you can get into a guild with helpful people who can assist you to do that upcoming capmpaign that's another story.

Save up and try getting dark enchantments which you'll put on your defense slots to increase your lifesteal. Start working on your boniding stones as soon as you can and make getting them to rank 12 asap your priority, they're a game changer.

Don't forget to curse your targets to deal more damage to them!

Level 60 mobs won't have 60% DR. Only level 73 dungeon bosses go that high currently and its beyond the scope of what the OP asked for.

24 was the cap for level 60 mobs back pte mod 6, but omly for bosses. Until he or she gets to level 70 and into the harder zones, a little RI is enough.

    Class feature:
    For furry, ACC + x
x= depending on situation or your mood(whatever)
FoE to boos up dmg for At will affected targets, mostly for boss/tough targets.
Prince of hell = leverage RI stats + life steal boost
Dark ones blessing - if u totally lacking LS.
Shadow walk - if your movement speed is HAMSTER(short legs) and afraid that enemies could bite you. :)
    ==================================================
    Daily powers

    Tyrannical Curse + x

TC mostly for AoE due Furry Sw feat: infernal wrath 4% dmg boost toward lesser curse affected targets.

    x - optional/depend on situation
Flames of Phlegethos - single target elimination tool.
Accursed Souls - panic button( when low on HP)
Brood of Hadar - single target burst dmg + CC.
Gates of Hell - AoE(liner) burst dmg + CC.

    Notes:
Gate of hell great burst power for for trash monsters wiping, Goes well in combo with fiery bolt and other burst powers..
While TC is better when using DoT like powers, DT, HG, WB, HG, even BoVA, PoP and hellish rebuke. Also it's better use TC when burst powers can't wipe lot of enemies per hit..

Flames of Phlegethos is good when you use it and instantly use DT on target.. Because Flames of Phlegethos have DoT mechanic, means it stay for time, not one hit and gone.. And DT increase dmg toward affected target from all sources.. Also recommend fristtly apply FoE stacks, before landing Flames of Phlegethos and DT combo. :)

    -=================================

    Encounters,
Mostly depend on gameplay and situations,,

PoP by default. ( recommended to have: Power of nine h3lls feat)

    For non epic dungeons,
Fiery bolt + PoP + Arm of hadar/FK (if feated with murderous flames)
    BoVa + FB +PoP ( dps + survivability) (BoVa 20% deflect + high LS)

    Epic dungeons:
Bova + PoP + arm of hadar/Fiery bolt (decent AoE dmg + survivability)
DT + PoP + WB/HG(if target can be CC)
Note: Hadar grasp if enemy got CC = it receive extra dmg by 15%.)
Warlock bargain - 15% of received dmg redirect to WB affected target. + DoT + each DoT tick restore HP.

DT + PoP + FK (if feated) - boss killer.
DT + PoP + BW (Boss kille + survivability)

    So there is nothing special.
