Is ranking up artifacts from level 139 to Mythic (140) a good use of GMOP and purple marks?

Before the change to the iLevel, it seemed that a good method for increasing your iLevel a few hundred points was to make that jump to the pretty blue Mythic artifacts. It didn't really add much to the actual statistics--maybe 70 on the first and second stats--but to those needing to increase the iLevel to get into dungeons etc., it seemed to be much more effective than the increase that you get with the new iLevel system. Better than the longer grind of getting a Rank 9 enchantment to Rank 10 for the additional few points in iLevel and Stats.

The reason that I ask is because I have several Alts that could use a bump in iLevel and Stats, and after this last 2X Jubilee, they have arties that are 139. Soooo. . . Take the purple plunge and make Mythics? or use those purple marks and gmops elsewhere?

Imo, no need to upgrade them except primary artifact to get lower cooldown. You can spend the mats better elsewhere.

Don't waste the mats on the artifacts. Save them for something else.

If you want to level up your artifact quickly get a cheap artifact of the same type, 6 of them actually and you can use those to level up your artifact.

Another method is using R9 Runestones if you don't want to use the multi artifact method that works best during double refinement.
