All of us who spoon in generous helpings of RP along with our Neverwinter experience either have done this, or will do this. You're involved in multiple chats, maybe shouting out to Zone, perhaps Say for the locals, perhaps Tell for a whispered bit of privacy here and there...and you hit Enter and notice that that little gem, that inside joke, that amorous jest, that amorous completely-serious suggestion JUST WENT OUT TO THE WRONG BLOODY CHANNEL.
Within the limits of decorum and good taste, let's share. I'll start.
We all know that PE has a rotating staff of chatters, or trolls, or both who exchange words like opposing armies exchange small-arms fire. When you try to move but end up sending "wwwwwwwwwww" into Zone you're likely to get something that passes for clever criticism..."Run, Forrest, run!" comes to mind...and when you accidentally send something meant for a private conversation, they're likely to be vicious.
For my part, one hilarious response was the only consequence.
I have a few good friends that I've made over my 4 years in Neverwinter, and with one of them I have a very close relationship. I said nothing hideously inappropriate, just something kind and supportive, along the lines of "You know I'll always be here for you"...and it went into PE Zone chat instead of our private channel.
Undefined answers.
If you watch PE Zone chat, and I DON'T recommend it, you know Undefined. I'm aware that they get ignored and spam-reported quite a bit, but they're one of the clever commentators, one of the real spirits of our city, and I would never dream of missing out on their wit. After a moment, wincing in anticipation of near-lethal back-blast, I see this:
Undefined: "Is that you, Daddy?"
Bloody brilliant. NEXT!
