Explorer's Guild - two questions

I have the explorer boon/guild and it is rank 7.

On one of my characters I do not get double resources from the explorers kits and on one character I do. Am I missing a task or a quest that unlocks this function? I am pretty sure I did about the same things on both characters, and it was not double professions, I tested this over this past weekend and all we had was double shards of power....ideas welcomed.

Also there is a sparkly dot on the wall in the stronghold, sort of straight out from the front door of the GH building. It says something like, use explorers kit to unlock hidden resources. I can't figure out how to use this, and when I click on it, nothing seems to happen. If this for higher level explorer's guild or am I totally missing some item that I need??

Assuming both characters are level 70, you seem to be bugged and should contact support. Double resources begins at explorer's rank 6 with no quest or task.

Everyone's best guess is that in development they planned for a stronghold map/kit that was removed, but that one node is still there.

Oh and should you forget to actually wear the treasure hunter boon, you will only get x1 resources...oops.
