So I don't have vivified and someone told me the elemental helm from spiders and tiamat is next best thing. I have one but havnt invested in a crit reinforcement kit yet because a friend told me the crit stat on this helm is way to high, it was basically an accident and it was going to be nerfed with 11.5 . does anyone know if any of this is true? Thanks in advance.

I think they are suggesting that the stat combinations on the helm are better for your particular build. I remember that Elemental Elven was better than Dragonflight for certain classes because of the stat combo (power/crit, rather than crit/recovery).
But I'm not sure I follow the rest of your post. The BIS helmets are definitely different, and I'm not sure I would put an armor kit on a helmet that wasn't BIS. The cost is too high and the stat bonus too low to justify.
If your friend is referring to something else, it would be helpful to know which helmet they are referring to. I haven't heard anything...
What platform are you on?
And alliance assault used to be decent had good stat combo, but I don't recall it having way too many stats. Maybe when they redid the ilvl system they borked up the HP with the crit stat?
I've also not heard of this on PC. I might just be unaware, but I'd be surprised if there weren't more people grumbling about it. So that suggests that it's a console-specific issue?
One thing to bear in mind is that on PS4 you guys are getting the ilvl changes soon-ish (June 20th) and so there's definitely a possibility that the item will be inadvertently fixed with those updates.
As to whether I would spend money on a +200 crit armor kit? Lol no. If you're getting 13k crit I wouldn't bother with a paltry 200 more at such a high cost. I would certainly at least wait until the ilvl changes hit PS4 to see if anything changes.
11B has the ilvl changes so they rewired the stats on a bunch of items. They didn't change the stats (at least they tried not to) but that means that whatever mistake resulted in the high crit value is likely to be fixed when they rewire the gear with the new ilvl.
