Introducing a Token that transfers all boons completed by the main character towards alternate accounts. The token would cost 5000 ZEN and would make all boons BtA.

Players would be happy due to less grind, you'd be happy by the profits. Win-Win.

5000zen = ~$50 = ~6 month VIP. Would you make that BtA boons count to people that have 50 char. per account? Because you know that might be a bargain....cause you know you can have 50 toons per account right? Would it cost the same $50 for someone with 2 toons? Because that bargain...not so much.

For that cost you bypass what they have deliberately designed right? They built the campaign grind-fest and the time walls for a reason...to micro-transact you to death. The time walls are to stall you until they can add the next new shinies Mod in.

If you could insta-add boons account wide...why would any other toons need do campaigns...you know they sell for $50 ea per toon the ability to skip ( 1) campaign right? So 1 toon can pay $50 bucks and skip dread ring, for another $50 skip sharandar etc. Why would they charge $50 to skip all campaigns for all toons at a time...that's like giving the house ownership for a months worth of rent.

Don't see it happening. I mean they charge a inane $35 for 1 toon to have 1 purple mount.....not going to let you pay the perhaps reasonable amount $35 to get purple account wide!

I'd pay $50 for an account-wide token that would permanently change bind status from BtC to BtA on all items that I now have plus anything I get in the future as well as make all RP become one bind status in stacks of 999

Pretty sure they wouldn't sell something at 5k zen that unlocks all boons on all toons (even assuming you've unlocked them once), that they currently sell for 4k zen for a single campaign, for a single toon. Course, I really doubt they sell many of those tokens.

Would I buy it at 5k? Sure. Even if the alts aren't as powerful as my main, it would be nice to be able to sort of change up things now and then, and all the boons I've unlocked on my main would go a long way in making my DC (for example) more useful in a pinch.

That said, while players *think* this would be great - hey, less grinding right! - this would be bad overall. The game is 100% grind at this point, and grinding = content, grinding = a player in game. They are not going to let you bypass that on all alts for 5k, or even 100k. They want people in game, grinding...getting frustrated enough to want to buy advancement. A token that lets you bypass this would quickly lead to player boredom, meaning they don't feel tat need to log in (dailies = incentive to log in daily).

Int he end, the end game content is not compelling enough to justify bypassing the entire leveling process....even if you still need to gear a toon (which really, with dragonflight on farm more for most guilds and SH gear getting much better.....getting a toon geared isn't THAT hard if you put in a little effort (and enchants arent bound, so those R12s can be moved).

Anyways...nice idea. More likely to push for reduced time gating or double rewards for accounts that have already done it..

5000 Zen will scare a lot of people away. Many players that have ground out more than 3 or whatever characters, aren't going to want to shell out that much Zen.



You make it 1000 or no more than 2000 Zen, not only will you get people like me, that only have one character ground out, you get most people to eventually do it.



Then, with all of these characters booned up, people will spend a lot more on making them powerful via add-ons. Mounts, Insignias, enchantments, companions and on and on.



Heck, I can use my above points and argue they should make it free. That's how much extra money it can make for them.

I agree with Pandoratanaka 5000 Zen is a bargain, especially with 50 alts that's 100 Zen/Alt. If you only have 10 or 8 alts it's 500 or 625/alt and still a bargain even at that

My opinion is they would lose money big time like this! If I could pass my boons along my toons I could grind out MAJOR AD running 2 dungeons on each toon. Right now it's time consuming because each toon down the line is a little weaker than the one before it simply because it's had less time and effort put into it.

Consider this, you have 10 toons. First one is your main. You get all your boons and they are now on all 10 toons. Well I've made those 10 toons all warlocks. Now my ACCOUNT bound twisted weapons can stay loaded and be passed down the line. My loaded underdark rings can be tossed in the bank and moved down the line and my bonding stones. Sure there is still a lot to build up but that alone with moved bonding stones give you the oppertunity to grind out some major AD. I would look for 5 friends who want do the same thing with different classes(Support Classes) and we would destroy etos 20 times in a hurry(2 per toon).


As it is, I have 4 toons who are 12k-14k and with just those I can pull 100k AD a day easy.

The grind for boons on alts really sucks, I agree. But I also feel it's a necessary evil or AD would once again be nerfed on us. Now that tiamat can be run anytime it's easy to find a group. You'll get it done over time, just keep an eye out for groups! I've got like 50 linu's on my GF whos not even opened the ToD campaign! Underdark is the same, jump into an e/ndemo when you see them asking for ppl in PE. You'll get the boons done as time goes on.

If you want them faster, buy a campaign completion token on each toon for each campaign

How much is a level 70 character in Zen store right now? Is it 5000 Zen? Who will buy the level 70 character if this feature (I don't believe they would even think about it) exists with only 5000 Zen?

No, they won't. People will buy the 5000 Zen (usually with a 15% off coupon for 4250 Zen) until they have 'enough' characters then spend the additional 5000 (4250 with 15% discount coupon) for the account wide boon upgrade. If it is set up account wide at rank 70 for each character, just like mounts, then it doesn't matter when the new characters are brought in.

2 Million players would probably say yes = $85-100 Million in revenue.

Given that campaign unlocks that are currently available on a per character basis are 50.00 I think you suggesting an account wide boon unlock is by no means fair or reasonable. Each character that receives a boon should have had to earn it!

Earning it simply on one character for such a small cost allowing it to then be unlocked on all characters completely eliminates the need for advancing each character. It would also allow some players to have 5, 10 or far more characters with full campaign completion.

What's the point of having a game to advance characters if everyone can simply have 15 or more characters fully advanced with all boons for little to no effort?

But I doubt they will do it.
Would cause a drop in login times and make zones like SKT an empty graveyard.

This says it perfectly. Why would they sell an account unlock for all boons on all characters when it currently costs 5k Zen just to unlock a single campaign on one character?
