New Cleric LF Race, Stat, Build Help

Can somebody help me understand the difference between the build in here:

And the one in this video (I've read other references to Kali Gold being a good cleric), and this is him recently speccing live in stream around 25 mins in and feats at 33:40---and you can see his stats at 3 hrs 40 min : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bZMf1UrExM

So both builds have different feats...and both builds have different stats (Kali hasn't put points in STR, the other one does).
Can somebody explain to me what these differences do? Is STR vs CHA a changing meta or for different playstyles?

I just started, and I'm trying to get up to speed, and I need to at least understand the stat parts and race now--I have time to learn the rest .

any reference to kali gold as a good cleric is not accurate. Trust in Jarek

any person who makes a career out of streaming does not have the time to be a theorycrafter, no one is going to watch a streamer run thousands of sims on preview to find their niche/optimal technique

Jarek gives the reasoning behind STR over Wisdom. STR is +1% crit chance equivalent to 400 points of Crit stat. CHA is +1%RSI equivalent to 200 points of Recovery stat.

As for race, it's not really a big deal. Dragonborn as always has a lot going for it but you look like a lizard, pure min max. Beyond that, there are a lot of decent choices. Many races can have +2 in WIS, STR or CHA but I think only Dragonborn can have both.

Human is generally not seen as optimal because our heroic feats are so bad.

I have a Wood Elf (+2 WIS and Elven Accuracy is +1% Crit Chance) Half Elves Dwarves and either Drow type can have WIS boost as well. Ths drow have a built in debuff as well.

However, race isn't the most important thing when we get so much stats from our gear. There are armor pieces that effect your crit chance more than your race will.

Thanks for the explanation. I am going to go and read all of Jarek's today.

I was kind of on the fence about race. Was looking at Human, Half-Elf, and Sun Elf. I went ahead and made a Sun Elf. I figured the +CHA and +INT recharge, +AP gain, and to a lesser extent even the +control resist were all beneficial.
