Right now im getting along with dc using astral shield in FBI run when they could simply use another buff/heal encounter, like healing voice or FF, tell me what you guys think.
As a RiDO, DG and BtS are always on when being the only DC.
For the Ascent and Haiti, I typically use Healing Word because the tank I usually play with is already at the 95% DR and the other players I usually end up with typically don't get on-shotted so I don't think AS would be as beneficial. If there is another healer in the group, I will just go with Chains. For the other boss fights, I typically go with PoD.
If you don't melees in your groupyou can switch out AS for Bastion. If you got trouble with getting through the trash with two buffing powers, then use AS Bastion and DG. I highly recommend BtS for the bosses at least.
I agree with some of what has been said. I also think the real answer is highly dependent on your team.
DG is pretty much a given for any DC.
So you have 2 slots for other stuff. In my opinion, other options are along the lines of AS, Bastion, Healing Word, BtS, FF, Exaltation (lol), Chains, and DL.
AS is helpful if you are being KVarried up the hill and want to reduce the chance that your tank gets killed because of your GWF's sloppy footwork. Or if your tank is struggling in general. It also generates a buttload of AP.
Bastion and Healing Word are heals... which honestly usually are too little too late given how hard folks hit. But they generate a lot of AP and are relatively quick casts. I guess also helpful if folks are struggling (but if you have to slot AS+Bastion on the climb be prepared for some choppy boss fights).
BtS, FF, and Exaltation are your buffing options. I love BtS (it's my 1st choice). If there are 2 DCs, you should spit things up between the two of you (BtS & FF). If you have a full buff party with only a single DPS, Exaltation can also be solid in the mix. But they don't generate great AP and some are kind of situational (BtS is tough to justify using unempowered, for instance).
Lastly, there are situations where chains or DL could be an option too. If your team could use a dps boost and you are built for it. If you want to more quickly spread condemn and bear your sins. Both can also generate a sizeable chunk of AP (although chains has been fixed so it no longer generates AP in divinity, which used to make it one of the best choices)
What's more, you might find that it's helpful to switch these out as you climb up the hill and get to know what your party would be best served with.
If I'm going RiAC, I usually start with Chains/DG/BtS and swap out Chains for AS or Bastion as needed. If I'm going ViAC, I usually start with AS/DG/BtS and swap out AS for Bastion, FF, or Exaltation as needed. If we have KV, I usually keep AS. If we have one DPS, I usually find room for Exaltation. If we have 2 DCs, I coordinate to make sure we have BtS and FF covered.
