Great Weapon Fighter Question?

Im a GWF with a 3.7K Item Level, Im using the twisted weapon set with a trancendant vorpal along with the demon artifact set. All of my equipment is fully refined and im using a fire arcon with 3 rank 11 bondings. I ran Valindras tower with another GWF who did considerably more damage then me. He was 2.9K item level using the lostmauth set with the drowned weapon set and a perfect lightning enchantment, his gear was not even near as strong as mine. I ran ahead and did my rotation properly and watched him wing it and still deystroy everything faster. I suspected he did the crit severity glitch but he didnt, when I asked him he simply told me that the lighting enchantment combined with the lostmauth set deals extra damage. Is the any truth to this? Can someone shed some light on this as ide like to make my character stronger.

Are you kinda saying that your haveing issues?

No issues. Just curious how another GWF was able to deals massive amounts of damage with such low gear, and wondering if a lightning enchant is greater then a vorpal for damage dealing.

If the other GWF had R12 bondings and R12's on all double slotted companion gear, that is more valuable than a few hundred IL points out front on the character.

There are many other factors at play than just IL and lots of stats that come from the back end, the mount, other companions, mount bonuses, insignia's on the mounts, etc and then back on the front end, there is class, mechanics, the build etc etc etc....

I have the lightening on my GWF but only perfect and it works really well for me and they way I have mine set up...

Maybe he could activate powers more often because of the 2% recharge per hit from lightning enchantment? I don't know if the class can hit fast enough for a big difference though so just a thought. How does it break lostmauth? I'd like to know because I was about to upgrade a lightning enchantment now I'm back to this class.

I personally still use vorpal, but from what you said OP it's most likely due to your bondings, you should of maxed those out way before your vorpal... :P Most of your damage comes from ya comp

IMO the power enchantments do work better than vorpal (Fey,Terror,Lightning, etc). I run a GWF I tested trans vorpal vs trans fey more damage on fey. Pwr buffed at 35k, Crit 18-20K. The difference is significant. 2700 IL, bonding 11's,RK 12,s, and 11's on companion.
