Umbral & Black Ice

I knew going in that the Umbral armour I just got wasn't enhanceable through black ice profs,. My question, and frustration is why isn't it?

    and i asked myself why no set bonus either??

    Only back ice armor need black ice empower.

    And it's a new "rule" of dev team: armor set bonus are being minimized.

    I'm pretty sure OP means Elemental upgrade with Black Ice profession, last seen with Dragonflight and Drowcraft sets.

    For whatever reason, devs have decided to phase out that feature. Which is sad, I liked that upgrade path much more than mod10+ RNG-worshipping grindfest.

    Yes it was indeed elemental upgrades via black ice that I meant. Seems ponitless to continue to add to my stock of raw black ice if there's no future need.

    Oh I see... anyway, I still do it just to create lethal and piercing black ice enchants

    Black ice is still good for making BI overload enchantments.
