Companions with bondings vs DC's and OP's power transfering

Hi there is some 'bug' that summoned companions with bondings transfer power given by DC's and Op's, it doesn't appear in companion statistics. This is especially efective on melee companions because they get power both from OP and DC. For example if DC with weapons of light gives 4k power and companion is in area of it, then player will get power transfered and multiplicated by bondings.

Not a bug, so much as an oversight. All the companions stats transfer over to the player, even stat buffs. They addressed underdark rings recently, and I'm sure that is just the tip of the iceberg.

That said, I would argue about it making the content to easy. Sure, if you have an optimal group, the buffs all line up, and the party all well above the min gear score for the content....sure things melt. Not everyone has this luxury.

Correcting this issue would have a definite impact on difficulty of the game, no doubt, which may be a good thing for some. But it would have a more dramatic effect the further down the food chain you go, as things that were barely possible before (for a specific person) would become impossible till they get better.

If they are indeed giving out 80k power then that means that they have built around this mechanic. It's not free, it took tradeoffs on their part to arrive at a power-share build.

Admittedly power sharing being amplified through bondings is very powerful for end-game builds. If your supports are built around power-share and your dps has expensive bondings, then it is the strongest buff mechanic out there. (But alternately HG and TI for flat damage buffs are huge too, just less visible)

Folks can debate whether this is out of line, but if you took away the bonding amplification, then a variety of high-end support builds would become un-viable and I imagine every DC with any sense would move over to DO TI buffbots with only a minor decrease in effectiveness.

So yes, bonding power share is a very visible and symbolic representation of power creep. But I don't think that gutting it would really solve the underlying problem effectively. It would mostly serve to reduce build variety again.

@up's 3x multiply of buff on companion and 1x for character, yep haha sure it isnt bug, i think you are all afraid because you got lighting enchantnemnt and it will be nice nerf for it.:)

at this moment it is better to buff companions than people, yeah i think your all joking.

This was brought up in the Preview thread for the recent DC rework. The Devs certainly saw it of they didn't know already. They reworked the Anointed Army buff in such a way that it roughly matches the reworked Terrifying Insight, with the stated intention of making both paths viable. If they removed the transfer, it would destroy the Anointed Champion path, directly negating their stated intentions.

The Devs are aware of it. They balanced DC around it. There is no reason to think that it is not WAI. Now I think bondings in general and power sharing is way out of hand, but the devs apparently are fine with it. We can disagree with the dev's decision but that doesn't make it a bug.
