I'm lvl 70, GWF, power at 2328, my gear is purple wth 1grn, 1 orange, got stronghold boons, use food bonuses and in i.e. 'Throne of Drwfn. Gods' people do 30mil damage to my 3mil. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to respec?
@dynadude1#3196 Yes you are prob coming across rank 12 bonded companion players with much higher gear score. I believe throne has 80 million available damage So if someone soloed it they would end up with 80 million but yeah I usually get about 30-40 mill Another thing to remember is a lot of players will get to the mob faster and hog the damage...I know it sounds ridiculous but people do it. So if they are very familiar with the mechanics they know where to be and every damage they do takes away from damage you can do..I know ..paingiver chart is horrible as it doesn't add all the damage you do but just the damage done until the mob is dead..if a mob has 3k health left and my demise hits him for 2 mill I am only getting recorded as doing 3k damage,I hope that helps you understand how the system works and how people exploit it.so a ranged player will always top a melee player as it takes you longer to get to the mob I wouldn't worry about it much ..as long as you get a gold run that's all that matters
You said you are in a guild with boons so I assume they have skilled players. Have one look over your gear and then go in to a ToDG or something with you to watch your rotation. They should be able to see what you are doing wrong or missing

Another thing to consider is your power spec/rotation. They are some classes were it's very important to have the proper rotation to achieve the max damage output. I'm sorry but I'm not familiar with GWFs to offer any suggestions towards what these builds would be.
People who kill the enemies first will deal more damage than you since you had no time to apply any damage. So, if there's those one or two people racing ahead of you and killing everything before you can... you deal no damage.
But other than that, check your gear and possible rotation. Those will be big factors as well.
It's the bindings and mount powers I assure u. I'm in the same boat, still working on my bindings but really not wanting to spend 40 USD on a mount but if u really want to compete u will have to spend a bit of money
at a gs/il of under 2500 I'd just work on getting my il up before worrying about numbers like that. there are a lot of 3k to 4k toons out there who are going to out dps you because they have way more stats then you have. get your enchants ranked up. get your bondings on your pet ranked up. get your pet ranked up. get your artifacts and your artifact set ranked up. get your boons from all the areas and then you can start worrying about paingiver. also your sh may have boons but not all boons are equal. the rank of your gh dictates what rank your boons are probably at. they can be from barely anything at all in a lowlevel guild to a massive boost at gh 20.
Until they start giving specific prizes/loot or incentive to be high up or #1 on the paingiver charts...I wouldn't pay it any attention right now - or ever since that part is unlikely. As a lot of people have already mentioned - some of those people are likely higher IL than you right now and have Bonding/Boon/Insignia bonuses not tracked by IL. In addition - there's no shortage of DPS tryhards out there who charge into mobs hoping to strike first and hog all the damage for themselves. While that works in easy skirmishes and maybe some T1 dungeons - once these fools hit T2s like CN or EGWD or start into FBI or SVA - they learn THE HARD WAY that you can't do any DPS when you're on the ground dying or dead!
Focus on gearing up when you can and putting out appropriate #s for your IL so you don't come across as looking to be carried. Any groups/guilds worth their salt appreciate a survivable DPS who holds their own and puts out equal #'s as opposed to a tryhard who gets dusted 20x and needs the rest of the group to revive them and put themselves and the whole dungeon run at risk to save em.
I'm almsot maxed with a 4350ilvl gwf. In combat I have 65k-80k power without being in a group with 100% crit chance and 122% crit sev without vorpal. People stack stats that increase based on percentages. So like power on a gwf gets increased a lot so the more you stack the the more other things in your build will increase it to God level.
