I just had an idea. I really wish there was an Guild and Alliance Trade market. It would be nice to easily be able to buy/sell items inside an alliance/guild for prices other than what's on the AH and this way we could help our guild/alliance with items.
Even if the AH had a filter that selected items posted by our guildies or alliance mates, that would, at least, make it to where we can keep more of our resources inside our circle of associates. An internal only system would be better though, because we could offer items for lesser prices and not have to worry about some gold seller or anyone else would buy if because it was super cheap compared to others.
The Devs could still charge the AH Posting Fee or Sales tax on these posts.
What do you all think of this idea?

I assume that disallowing AD in private trades was a core design decision. You can do private trades for other items and for gold. If the devs decide to revisit that decision, the easy solution would be to add AD as a trading component in private trades, possibly with the provision of taking a 10% cut.
I'm not sure that alliance auctions would have enough volume/usage to warrant developing them. Even if they were an add-on to the existing auction system, you run the risk of introducing new bugs to the AH code, so it would not be a trivial development task. Caturday was caused by an AH bug.

Guilds/alliances could already use a "guild currency" system by using somewhat static value items like Superior/Greater marks of potency as the currency they trade for other items... the devs, lose out on the 10% Tax like this. If we talk about the number of people that would use the system... well.. even if only the largest Alliances/Guilds use the system.. that's a pretty large number of people.. if others are like me.. and don't trade items, simply because they aren't worth as much as most other items I have and are time efficient to bother with.. then, the actual volume of items traded might go UP.
Also.... allowing BUY Orders on the market would be wise too... I'd produce and sell more items, if I knew there was a demand for them, and not just have to guess.

Of course all exclusive items will be there. The fee to join the alliance is a rank 12 Dark Enchantment. There is no room for Radiants in it. But with that fee your market became bigger.
I can go on on and on about this. The point is, I don't want to see less and less items on the AH so that the prices can be even more manipulated by the few multimillion accounts.
Exactly why I said No Thanks.
Doesn't work for a full alliance, but if it's just guild mates, it works great.
