A Suggestion for the upcoming Loadouts that will make or break it.

I know its not finalised and all the infomation is not out. Though I know it includes paragon paths and specs. But I'm going to hazard a guess and say it will only swap out gear and not transfer the enchantments over.

This is a huge problem with the gear swap. It's one of the major factors holding back swapping from pve to pvp, or swapping any gear. Please consider making Loadouts reslot the enchantments too, and include this for companions also so we can switch between different summoned pets with ease.

It would just be great to be able to bring out one pet over another depending on who I'm with but it's just not worth the time reslotting 3-9 enchantments (depending on what companion equipment they use) just for a 20 minute dungeon run for example, then switching back again. Same goes for PvP and other things.

I suggest this because right now I only see it as a power/spec swapper.

In order for it to be fully functional, I think it would need 4 additions:
    • Enchantments (incl. wep enchantments)
    • Companions
    • Insignia & Insignia Bonuses (or just the "stable" of mounts)
    • Weapon & Offhand "Artifact Powers"
It's a nice gesture to allow multi-specs, but it doesn't actually make swapping specs on the fly viable unless they are very similar and don't need stat / companion re-balancing.

Even something as simple as switching from AoE to Single Target dps builds is hampered by these limitations.

I'm having a hard time figuring out what problem their solution is actually solving? When would you actually use this other than situations where you would also adjust enchants, bonuses, etc. Is it really meant only to streamline swapping different powers to your tray? I guess that's better than nothing...

I hope that this would work like requested here. As long as the character has to be "out of combat" to switch the load out, then it should in my opinion be totally possible to switch it with a simple key press, on ALL maps (PvE, PvP, Dungeons et.c.).

Well, its too late. It's not going to happen.

    So it's just a power/spec swapper and a un-usuable gear swapper function.

Back in 2013 people started to ask for this feature. Well, for powers swap initially. Loadouts give us not only powers, but paragon, feats, boons and items swap! Now, asking for an enchant swap? Sounds good, that's for sure, but I see it veeeeery difficult to do. While we can just put another R7 or R8 enchant to not swap from one item to another because these are very cheap, having another R12... well, that's a bit more costly. On the other hand, swapping isn't just a one step thing. In case they would try to add that feature, steps that need to be done: put X item into inventory, unslot enchant, retrieve gold from your inv, check if there is enough space to put that enchant, if not - what to do? Put it in an overload bag? Can you slot an enchant from overload? And what if happen if you don't have enough gold? Check bank if gold available there? And many things like that. Dang, there are hundreds of bugs that are thousands of times easier to solve and most of them are still there since first mods. Just forget about enchant swapping. Don't get me wrong, i want that feature too, but...

Would just be easier to change the way enchantments work and enchant the slot rather than the equipment piece. Would be a step to helping making PvP more active.

Guys i hate to bring you the reality check ... not gonna happen because they need you to spend money on coal wards simple as that and many are fine with it ... not that i am 4k elitest my toons are barely 3k

what i am not good at all with is the cost to change artifact powers that limits the load outs i am not on preview server to see the changes

They also want you to buy two sets of weapons, enchants, geared companions, mounts and ensignias...pretty ingenious way to get us to spend more....or not...
