Minimizing the effect of the gear gap, packaged as a new type of PvP.
Everyone starts naked with level 1 weapons. At mid node is a treasure chest. When any node is captured, a key appears randomly in one of the capturing characters inventory. Capturing home node unlocks one of the capturers mounts, though they need to go to mid to use the key to get their mount. Capturing mid unlocks main and offhand. Capturing enemy node unlocks armor.
Upon opening the chest and taking an item, the character dies (cannot be revived) and after fifteen seconds, respawns in the same place as always.
That is a pretty fair fight in terms of IL, and even when a geared out enemy gets back a piece of gear, they leave their team at a numerical disadvantage for fifteen seconds. Fifteen seconds being enough time for a numerical advantage to take mid so one of their players can get their main and offhand also.
When there is a combined total score of 1000, any gear recovered goes back in the chest at mid.
This way, gear still has a significant influence on the outcome, but not nearly as much as now, and it would give under geared players a fighting chance.

@overdriver13
one of the worst convoluted complicated suggestions from one of the smartest posters sorry bro .. that would totally ruin the flow of the match
and? I dont even want to think how it would effects kill death ratios / ELO / and balance / swapping gear .. knowing who has the key etc aside from the fact the people refuse to use Voice in PVP to co ordinate then get wrecked then complain
the rewards for earning the match are what then exactly ??
P.S are you high ?
Quit dictating format to people. Your version of fun and balance is not theirs. (Not talking to anyone in particular)
