PVP and critical??

I read some guide that said in pvp is better to have low crit, this gives normal non crit attack hit harder. Any thoughts?

IMO it depends entirely on class and build. Sorry I can't give a good answer, but there are a ton of class/build variables in play.

I don't fully understand it because I'm not PvP focused & math is hard BUT, what little I did manage to get before my poor little hamster went off his wheel... because of the debuff interaction between tenacity, crit, and ArPen, high crit builds do less damage than low crit builds which focus on Power and/or ArPen. I know that's kinda vague, so I am including links to a couple of posts by people that actually know what they are talking about... Hope this helps.

Depends a lot on your class. TRs and HRs have piercing damage, which bypasses tenacity. Crit will buff that a lot--for those type of attacks. But for most, crit is mitigated by tenacity, so is pretty pointless.

Some people will pull slide-rules out and show you how a hit with critical *CAN* be better with high crit severity, but it is very situational.

Even as tr... if you are full power, you will gain more than from being full crit.

Stealth to get crit and do a power blow.

Shocking execution will be critical and with max power.
