protectors camaraderie not working with lillend companion

i have a level 70 guardian fighter and the protectors camaraderie mount insignia bonus isnt working with the lillend companion. that is the mount bonus that gives you 3% more power and defense when your summoned companion attacks, and stacks up to 4 times. and the lillend companion will not activate it. i can maybe understand it not activating with the rejuvenating chord power because it is a heal. and the tooltip for the insignia bonus says it activates when your companion ATTACKS, not necessarily activates a power. but the bonus also doesnt activate with the audio drain power either, which attacks an enemy and does damage over time. NOTHING the companion does will activate it. and i really wanted to use this companion with my guardian fighter setup.
ps. the audio drain attack does not display any damage in the tooltip, even though it DOES do damage and is directed at an enemy. but the attack deals damage over time and heals allies. and im sure the fact that is has no damage in the tooltip is why this doesnt activate the insignia bonus. but like i said it IS directed at an enemy and does damage over time, up to a couple thousand in a few seconds.
