There is an issue with the damage that mobs do.

I think AI are randomly doing X times the damage (Not talking about crits, looking like it's 3.14 times the damage in some cases). I just had a Sniper hit me for about 17.04k damage without a critical hit, and 20k with a critical hit. Then a few seconds later I was hit for 5.42k damage from a Sniper.

I'm not being debuffed, it's totally random. This also happens to a friend who is a control wizard, he will randomly be instantly killed by 3-4 little mobs, while the mobs that channel/charge up attacks will not kill him even if he stands directly in it.

This makes no sense, for example look at the Rogue. I get hit with a Charge attack for 10k damage, fine. It's a special attack, that makes sense. I could dodge/sprint/or whatever when I see it coming. Then I get hit with a regular Melee attack for 31k damage. That makes no sense, you can't dodge that because the attacks are almost instant.

If you take my mitigated damage 2964 and divide it by my unmitigated damage, 5424, it turns out that I'm taking 54% of the damage. It's the exact same ratio for every single attack, whether they're doing 5k damage or 32k damage. I'm not being debuffed.

I think this could possibly be effecting every single AI in the game, here are screenshots:





Something is wrong. Is anyone else able to see the same thing? I know I'm not crazy, I sat there for more than 10 minutes letting myself get killed by mobs over and over so I could pore over the combat log later.

    If Charge is an AOE, which it appears to be, then it is further mitigated by AOE resistance. You forgot to account for that. You mitigated 72.9% of the damage there (2928 of 10783).
    I see nothing wrong here. Also, AOEs that have DOTs have further damage mitigated by DOT resistance rating.

    You may be right, however you're focusing on that one thing instead of looking at everything as a whole.

    Explain the rogue (Which has 1 health segment) hitting me for 32k damage with an undodgeable Melee Attack? That doesn't make any sense. Or the Snipers and Loyalists hitting me for 15-30k damage, but when I go to a different pack I get hit for 5-8k damage?

    These are entirely random, I can fight an AI and take a couple thousand damage from Melee and Ranged attacks and then I am suddenly being chunked for my entire health pool when I fight the exact same AI again from the exact same simple attacks.
