Question on grouping

Hi, quick question... a mate of mine will be starting Neverwinter soon. I have a high level cleric, if I group with him, how does the game treat this? i.e will it scale my level down (with me not getting xp etc), or will it prevent him getting any xp at all?

There's no change to either of you. Some areas will auto-level you down if you go there to help him but you'll still 1-shot everything. Some areas such the guild stronghold will auto-level your friend up to 70.

He will get XP for all missions completed but if you're doing all the killing I believe he won't get XP for those but I could be wrong on that point.

As long as he manages to hit stuff he should get XP per kill, so you could protect him first, kill everything second

But if you want to speed up his leveling, you are then better off focusing on the quest XP instead of the kill xp, which he can still get some of.... just faster..and as soon as he can go to a higher area, take him there and start that quest line... unless you both want to clear everything as you level up...

As for you, you won't be getting much xp, the bigger the difference between your level and the mobs level, unless you get scaled down, in which case it will still not be something too drastic.

If youre pleveling him at the stronghold all you have to do is kill stuff and he will get exp as long as he is on the sh map. The exp isn't that great unless you have exp boosters though.

I wouldn't even bother with the SH leveling - they did away with that so now it goes way faster if you just do the quests.

Something to help your mate level is azure enchanements and gear with utility slots. good luck
