Needed Companion Update

Hi All,

I decided to create this thread to see what other NW player thing about having an update to our companions. We as players are level 70 while our good old companion runs around at level 35 and are a very easily over whelmed by any level 60+ mob at times.

To put it simply, my idea here is to raise the level of our companions a bit to make them not so easily killed by say a standard level 70 mob.

Current Companion Levels:
Common: 20
Uncommon: 25
Rare: 30
Epic: 35

Updates to Companion levels:
Common: 20
Uncommon: 30
Rare: 40
Epic: 50
Legendary: 60
Mystical (Provides stats increase of 15%): 70

The cost to raise a companion level, let's discuss this and see what everyone thinks about these changes. It would be more linear and match up more to artifacts and how they increase in level.

    I like the idea

I also would like for there to be a special buff where if you play a non-dps character, and are not in a group (soloing) if you equip a striker companion it buffs to a level 70, then reverts back to it's normal self when you are grouped. That would make soloing content on a healer or tank more tolerable.

How about a work around that you can buy a companion enhancer potion. It last 1 hour and a few gold pieces, this way, soloing you have options.

My only fear with that would be that people would use the supped up companions to complete group content too easily. I just think the companion should be capable of being more help while you solo things - for example my healadin won't die in lonelywood - but takes so long to kill anything that I just won't do the dailys there unless I have a dps friend on to kill things for me.

Making a group in a MMO sounds kind of weird and should be considered only as the last option. Why would anyone want to do that?
This is not directed at you, but at the playerbase as such. I don't understand why it is so hard to make a small team.
One point certainly is the 2 minute timer to change instance. Makes a GWF rather ignore a healer/tank as he is finished with his dailies before you can from your instance to the GWF's.

Imaginary Friends are the best friends you can have!
