lightning enchantment visual effect doing something very weird

hey everybody, i have a level 70 guardian fighter as an alternate character with a lightning enchantment attached, and i have noticed a very weird glitch ever since the Sea of Moving Ice update. The visual effect for weapons with a lightning enchantment dont flash with lightning anymore, now they like flash back and forth with what a bronzewood enchantment looks like. it doesnt have the vines or butterfly, but only the red-ish color wood the enchantment puts on your weapon. so to sum it up, if a lightning enchantment is attached to my sword, it flashes back and forth between what the weapon NORMALLY looks like and what the bronzewood enchantment looks like, without vines and butterfly.
ive tried the usual, unslotting and reslotting, logging out, trying the enchantment on different weapons, etc. but it still always has the same effect. and not only that but i have noticed it on other characters that have lightning enchantments also. it looks really bad on a hunter rangers bow, it just flashes back and forth with being completely red.
anybody else notice this issue? its really annoying because it COMPLETELY messes up the look of my character. my armor is dyed blue to look good with the lightning enchantment and i use the fabled sword you can buy from the sharander campaign. and it is a VERY big sword for a guardian fighter. it is the size of a great weapon fighters sword. so now instead of having cool blue-ish lightning on my weapon matching my blue armor and shield, i have a great big red strip going down my sword with no lightning effect.
