Mod edited title to make it stand out from 2nd thread with same title but different content by same person.

Grind Sharandar for Thaumaturgic stones, wait for the next 2x rp (that's early February I think) before suing them. If you at the time don't have the appropriate stonesmarks for upgrades do not buy them on the AH at this time as they're expensive, just fill out the upgrade bar and wait to do the actual upgrade until a week or two after when they start dropping in price again.
You might want to check the AH right now for the marks you'll need for upgrades, they'll start rising in price soon when people start hoarding.
Logic is the beginning of wisdom, not the end of it.

Grind Dread Ring lairs for the upgrade marks. You always get one in the end chest.

Marks and Stones of Power/Union/Stability are not needed to upgrade enchants.
There is however a chance to get a Greater Mark of Potency or a Superior Mark of Potency from the second chest that needs the Gauntlet.

So this whole advice is partially true.

Oh, and the Purple Marks (Power/Union/Stability/Potency) are anything but a certain drop. (this includes the Superior Mark also)

^ this on the other hand is a very good advice.

I don't bother upgrading any enchants below R9s. My experience is that it is generally cheaper just to buy them, especially if your farming AD instead of Thaums.

I tend to buys R8s from, the AH and then upgrade those using Leadership RP, it might be slower but it helps retain my sanity.

Absolutely. It is after R8 that the cost of an enchant explodes. And if you buy at R10 you can avoid having to have a secondary enchant as part of the upgrade. It actually is cheaper to go from R10 to R11 than to upgrade an R9 to R10.

    This is some solid advice.
Saving to buy rank 10s then upgrading is the best option.
You can slowly fill the refinement bar then upgrade enchant after enchant.

I make ALL of my enchants, most are from rank 1-5 to start. I use quartermaster enchants on all my toons and end up with a bunch of bound RP! If you can make them free from bound RP your rocking! If not, save up and buy rank 10s or 11s and rank them up from there.

If your BUYING the RP to build enchants you'll go broke in no time!!
