The new controller companion "Energon" that was introduced today and can be obtained in the dread legion skirmish is severely lacking useful powers. Its only power is "Gathering Energy", so it does not deal any damage, heal, control or generate threat.
The benefit from Gathering Energy is that you get 3% AP per stack that the companion has built during the combat once you get out of combat (the companion needs some time to transfer them to you). Unfortunately the stacks reset to 0 if the companion dies during the combat, which happens regularly since it is a close-combat-companion. In boss fights the companion's power is completely irrelevant because you are all the time in combat.
I'd like to see the Energon get two more powers, so it has 3 powers, the same as most other companions.

Maybe the devs could give it some kind of a stealth feature like the Priestess of Sehanine Moonbow has.
