Useless artifacts (or how to have to remove them when they could be still useful)

… We know, the Winter Festival is almost ended… I’ve been given a Beacon of Simril like everybody, I guess. Kept refining it till it went purple even if I had neither space to use it in my char nor it didn’t serve to refine another artifact. In the end I had to throw it because it was useless, I couldn’t do anything with it. A pity: because something which could be useful, had become an item without any kind of use occupying another slot in my inventory.
What can we do with this kind of items in the end? If we have a coffer in the guilds, why can’t all them be used to feed it if there’s a section called “surplus items” and artifacts are really very similar to surplus items? Because they are used in toons and their function is similar to that what gear has got (stats and the rest)…
Would it be that bad we had the option/choice if an artifact doesn’t serve us we could use it to, at least, feed the guild coffer or so? Artifacts’re items difficult/hard to get as usual, and even in this case of event they should serve 4 something, not just to throw like dirt

This artifact is only here for new players with 0 artifacts luring them believing in that this artifact is useful.
I'd love to see the game setup for artifacts and fashion the same way it is now setup for mounts with the stable!
I guess another option would be to make these items available from the reclaim agent allowing us to discard them until needed(If needed)
