[PS4] Is Gaming Gods the only PVP guild on this server?

I've started to watch some of their livestreams and youtube videos and they do not face any premade/s at all. Did the PVP scene die so quickly in the PS4?

    There are a handful of PVP guilds that (from what I'm told) just go in an slaughter anyone who isn't in a pre-made other PVP group. I had friends who used to like to go into pvp randomly just for the fun, but they are always up against one of a handful of guilds who are essentially pvp only and they said take the fun out of it.

    So no, from what I understand there are at least 8 guilds that I hear of - but yes, the constant slaughter of anyone trying to pug has dwindled the numbers of people who are willing to pvp.

    Also just because they aren't all wearing the same guild tag - doesn't mean they aren't a pre-made group. Our alliance has a pvp team that I'm told is pretty good but they are made up of people from all of the guilds and would not appear pre-made.

    I've recently filtered through 20+ hours of content and they haven't once faced a decent match

    Did they run into PoG, LGPG, Somewhat Serious, or any of those?

    LGPG will be Qing premades more often in the coming weeks. I took a break for the holidays, and i think everyone else got wrapped up in the winter festival. I'd love to see more 5 mans in Dom.

    I think they did face LGPG once or twice, but those were a 4-man group

    Who won btw? I don't actually care, but I'm morbidly curious as to which guild had spent more $$$ for their victory.

    GamingGods won. Although I wouldn't say it was due to incredible plays. They stayed in the middle most of the match and casually sent a player or two to backcap only after it was capped quite a few times.

    There are numerous PVP centric guilds on PS4. It just so happens Gaming Gods has a streamer who's on everyday. You have LGPG, POG, Knox's Irregulars, Somewhat Serious, League of Assasins, and even some newer upcoming guilds like Prestige Worldwide, Icewindale and Chill. Each have distinct premades and are very deadly when you encounter them in PVP.

    I'm sure you can understand why someone would think Gaming Gods is the only premade that runs when their streamer published dozens of hours of videos and they barely get any premades at all. I'm interested in any recorded matches where they faced another full 5 man premade (I have seen one where Gaming Gods employed awful awful tactics of staying on middle, not leveraging their kills and letting other bases be capped and yet still destroy LGPG. Maybe I'm just used to PC PVP ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ .

    I'm still 132-0 in Dom. If you wanna set up a premade match sometime in the evening that would be fun. I hope your characters are 4k and ready for serious games though ;)

    I don't play on the PS4 but that's really interesting for you to be 132-0 in Dom and yet have not played Gaming Gods. I guess people are just good at avoiding each other on the consoles or I don't know. Weird stuff happens in consoles I presume. Oh well, its just weird. Here's to hoping the 'undefeated' Gaming Gods get to meet the '132-0' indylol and his team one of these days.

    But nah, even if I do own a PS4, I have seen how console players play PVP and a lot of it is Call of Duty style running and gunning. Not much strategy, just broken builds, zerging to no avail etc.

    Its easy to generalize entire communities, just like how everyone on PC uses their arrow keys to turn because they aren't skilled enough to use their mice to move in PvP.

    Really i've been too busy to Q since mid December before i went on vacation, also i asked a few guildies who Gaming Gods were and no one heard of them so maybe they're a PC guild? Lol.

    I'll just say that there is a lot of truth to these generalizations but this quote is so comical so I'll be taking it to a few other forums I frequent.

    Yeah that's really great about your life although I don't know why you keep bringing yourself up. The tag on their videos say PS4 and the UI is of the console version of Neverwinter. Therefore it would be stupid to assume PC but maybe your guildmates just aren't familiar with the PVP scene. That's fine. A quick google or youtube search would've done the trick on PC :*

    The few times I've tried pvp on xb1 it has always been an AP/stamina drain and 1 shot tr build fest lol.

    That's really unfortunate and I feel for you. I really give some credit to the PC PVP community for being able to somewhat police the use of drains and ambush rings. It's not perfect and pugs still use it but the majority of the bigger PVP guilds have abided by that rule.

    i duno... before my guild banned Ambush ring I scored 450kills with 0 death as a GWF until I got bored and unequipped the ring, its so hard to die with those stuffs... so 132 kills with 0 death dont really mean anything to me...

    @icyphish I think @indylol means 132 wins - 0 loses.

    Maybe its just me, but that speaks more to the lack of competition and good players on a server rather than someone's credential.
  • dmcewendmcewen Member Posts: 279 Arc User
    The game has been out for 6 months or so, of course the competition is non existent. All of the Xbox pvp trolls went over there for that reason. Don't feed the Indy fire, you will just give him another opportunity to talk about himself.

    @xsayajinx1

    You are correct about the W/L. I have 940ish kills and 12 deaths in dom.

    @icyphish

    This is my first "season" on a TR as i mained a GF from my first day on Xb1. I'm sure for a gwf it was even harder to maintain that record though with the lack of dodge frames so imo its still impressive.

    Yeah it sucks that when Neverwinter released on the Xbox, it was nowhere near as competitive or popular as when it first released on PC but I guess it was more of a 're-release' and didn't have as much hype.

    Man, when this game first got released on PC, you guys have no idea how many players and premades there were. A lot of legends quit the game waaay before any significant news of Neverwinter coming to xbox.

    Yeah I see what you mean, that's why the only neverwinter pvp I get to see is pretty much from pc youtubers only and it's very entertaining, like, "wow, they don't use ap/stamina drains and they actually earn their kills the fair way!" and "wow they don't use companions in icewind dale!", good luck with that on xbox, ICWD is a bonding companion and glitch fest and the pvp matches are a joke, ap/stamina drains being used by "top" players, that's why I gave up on the idea of having 1 or 2 pvp only toons, no point or fun trying to play in a fair way if almost all pvp players will be running with ap/stamina drains and using who knows many bugs and dirty tactics to win.

    I give credit to the pc pvp community too, at least to those who pvp in a fair way, how bad it will never be like that in consoles. I love when I see cheaters bragging about themselves, I tell them how inferior they are to their pc counterparts and they say things like "neverwinter on pc is a different game" or "Impossible, x person can't be better than me/my friend!" xD My favorite cases is for example when I mention how great icydrake is and people say things such as "he may just play against weak/pve guys only" or when people don't believe me @thefabricant knows about the game much better than they ever will even though they are for example a cw running the orcus set lol.

    Bottom line is, pc pvp from top guilds is awesome to watch and console pvp is a ap/stamina drain COD-like fest.

    I have watched the "top" console players play and their tactic is zerging and very late / non-existent rotations. They solely rely on abusing mechanics to try and cheese something so that they can get ahead. You do not learn anything from console videos but rather get a headache.

    PC on the otherhand is very different. Go watch inhouses (where teams are balanced & full of BIS players) of Forsaken, Essence of Aggression or Synergy and how much THE ENTIRE TEAM cooperates in rotating from one node to the next and back and forth to try and steal a node. Give me a single evidence of console players having the capacity to do that.

    I guarantee you the PC teams will double-cap any Xbox/PS4 team within the first 3 minutes and keep it that way for the rest of the game for a smooth sailing to victory. It's nothing flashy, it's just fundamentals and discipline.

    Oh I'm also talking about the PC players remaining today against when the height of PVP at Xbox (we won't include the PS4 because the competition there is a notch below even the xbox). Dozens and dozens of legendary PC players have quit the game who would've made an even bigger imbalance.

    From what I can tell @jaime4312#3760 PC and console are really different games. Especially the console PMvsPM matches are pretty funny, though they claim the best console team could beat best PC team any time.

    The good part on PC is: we have few big PvP guilds who can set up "rules". The rules apply to the guild only... not to everyone who steps into PvP but most people see it as a role-model and follow it to not use cheesy items like drains / ambush.

    Yes, you are right, they are different games, at least pvp-wise, pvp on console is a joke. The best team on console would be eaten for breakfast by the best pc one 100% of the times, the skill gap, experience and build quality is on pc guys' favour, that's not even a question, especially because you guys are used to actually earn your kills in a fair way, without those ap/stamina drains and bonding companions. I spoke with a gf from a top guild the other day and he was telling me how someone in ICWD was killing him very fast (I think it was a sw using an owlbear or something like that and who knows what other companions) but when they crossed paths again, this time in dom, the gf destroyed the other guy, as he told me while he was laughing, the foe couldn't even scratch him.

    It would be good if top pvp guilds on console would ban ap/stamina drains but that's something that will never happen, I think, if these mediocre items help them to bosst their k/d ands stats (oh and ego) they simply will never stop using them.

    I don't really understand why you told me and asked all that, perhaps you meant to quote someone else or you misread one of my posts? I had already stated pc pvp and teams > console pvp and teams. Why asking me for evidence? I never said anything about console guys being better, I clearly said pc pvp and good players > console ones.
