Mounts appearing in Battle? please help!

So during a castle never game I witnessed another players mount appear and slowly charge at Orcus then dissapear. Ive seen this happen a number of times now so im curious what sort of sorcery is this?

Legendary mounts have combat powers, some can be summoned into battle to help out a little bit, and some have other functions as their combat power.

Legendary (orange) mounts come equipped with combat powers. Once in combat, you can summon your mount (1x time per 60 seconds) to attack an AOE you target. While the combat damage doesn't amount to much, it can have a great effect if you have insignia bonuses with your epic (purple) mounts. One example of this is Calvary's Warning (I have it on Dusk Unicorn). Once a combat power is activated, your toon gets a 10% increase to Power, Critical Strike, Armor Penetration, Regeneration, Defense, Recovery, and Lifesteal. Definitely worth investing in if you can afford it, cause your stable can provide a lot of buffs and stats to your toon that many people overlook. Happy Hunting!
