Loomin' Lumen

What to do with all these after they become useless for the Artifact?
I seem to have 99 x [insert increasing number] of these, steadily taking over my inventory slots.
Is there no other use for all these different grades of Lumen, which are all character bound?

"Mod 6. Oh my f****** god. It gutted the game pure and simple. And what wasn't gutted was messed up by the poorly thought out new level cap and equip. The game never recovered from that atrocity".

    Sell them for gold or discard.

    Since there is now a possibility of upgrading the Beacon orange it would be nice if the lumens could be applied to that.

    Now there is a possibility? Mine has been orange for a while now. Like last summer.

    That artifact will go all the way to Mythic... However Lumens are usless once it hits purple. Best thing to do is get it as close to purple as possible then for the final refine, stuff it with your purple and blue lumens. You can get that thing almost to orange using only lumens if done correctly.

    Was there ever any kind of notice or guideline that stated lumens would stop working on the Simril artifact when it reached purple?

    All I ever remember reading is that lumens are used to upgrade the artifact... not that the things being used would suddenly stop working at a certain level.

    Just another one of those 'special' Neverwinter things to show players how much they're appreciated I suppose.

    Yes, it was made clear last year (2015) Winterfest when they released the Beacon.
