Item Descriptions forcing another stack to use up more bag space

It's bad enough that my bags get jammed up with stacks of items that are either BtA, BtC or unbound. Now I'm seeing another cheap tactic to fill my bag and it comes in the form of the actual item item descriptions!
I have separate stacks of Scrolls of Mass Life and I tried to merge them since both were unbound. Nope. Couldn't merge them. Upon inspecting the two stacks to see why they wouldn't merge I saw the only difference. In the item descriptions one of the stacks says "Resurrection, Consumable" and the other stack says "Consumable, Resurrection".
That is the only difference. Can the dev's not have some form of quality control and consistency when creating items to avoid these ridiculous blunders.
