Question about weapons

Good morning, I wanted to ask why some weapons get bounded to character while other bound to account? I got my drowned set from the quest and the main hand is bounded to character while the off hand is account bound. I've asked around my guild and they either have 1 weapon bound to account and the other bound to character or have both weapons bound to account.
I tried making a ticket asking but I can never see my tickets in view my tickets.
Thanks for reading and hope someone can explain this mechanic to me

Did you transmute the weapon to a BtC transmute ?

*sigh* yes that seems to be it unfortunately. Anyway thank you and is there any way to untransmute a weapon to make it account bound?
If not well... I guess I'll have to start working on another set for my other DC to use.

    Unfortunately, No.
When you transmute you get the most restrictive bind out of what you have (item, transmute). So make sure if you transmute BtA items to use BtA or unbound transmutes only.

About the set, maybe there are other options:
you can get another MH on the second char via professions, or twisted set instead ? You can edemo on one char to buy any class and it's BtA so you can transfer.
(Just throwing ideas to save effort)

yes I'll just craft a new main weapon in professions since the off hand is still account bound, it'll just take time and rp since I already had the weapon at legendary but didn't know about the transmute thing.
    Again thanks for explaining
