Winter Festival items all Character Bound

I am very disappointed this year to see that all the higher value rewards (companions) are all Character bound.

I assumed this year's event would be like last year's , so I spent $20 to buy 20 gifts, hoping I could recoup some of the cost from selling companions and mounts. I now realize I cannot do this, and sort of feel like that $20 was wasted. Additionally, I have no use for other mounts or companions on my main character, but I can't even give these to a different character, because they are character bound.

If its not too late, could you please change this. Please don't lock these down to the character that opens them.

They are not bound? I got lillend and some others i could sell in AH.
One was bound, the one with CA damage.. Stalwart.

btw do I have to open those gifts in a row until I got 15+, to get better rewards?

Sounds like they didn't change the bind status on newer items that got added this year.

It would be nice if all the Simril specific RP items were account bound rather than character bound. I have two characters who cannot make use of any of it as their artifacts got refined up to Epic at the previous event. They cannot use the RP they get this time to upgrade them to Legendary as that can only be done with regular RP, so it would be nice to pass it to other characters. Also, why can't Simril RP be used to refine them once they are passed Epic ?

It was explained to me that Gifts result in bound items and Parcels in unbound ones. I wasn't present for the previous two events though.

parcel=unbound only the transmutes are bound.
bag=all bound.

And if you use a bound transmute on a boa or unbound item, it will be btc.

I dont know if they changed it but the above was right last year. Parcel stuff is unbound, bag stuff is bound. So open bags first and save parcels till you hit 20 plus.

i don't no. but to be honnest i feel like this event giveing me trash .. i have 2 charecter that already epic artifact last year . and then this year all the rp was trash BOC . what is the point if i can't even give the other account . and what is the point of geting share gift so many pop up RP trying to fill my bag that i don't have any space..what is the point for me to buy the gift and get simril and share with friend.. if those RP nothing meaning to me ? even if i try to play new charecter this year next will be trash...i don't no what do u think guys?

Why do you even care about the RP? The artifact itself is garbage even as a stat stick.

I play the winter festival to share gifts with group of friends, to hear their excitement when a gift bag drops or they get something awesome, and to run around like a headless chicken. I sell the useless RP for gold, and get some little free presents. It's all about your attitude. Just like the summer festival, you don't have to do it if it bores you.
The artifact is pretty bad - unless you are a new player looking to fill an empty artifact slot, in which case it's a bonus
