You think if we got them to change the name of the game to NeverSummer we might get some new zones with more color than a white wash?

Considering that there is no city called Neversummer in the Forgotten Realms, I doubt it would make any difference. A rose by another name and all. :p

That being said, no small part of this is due to Wizards of the Coast wanting to tie the game to the PnP module releases.

Personally I would love to go to undermountain or focus on the more wild expanses which can be found in the Silver Marches. Undermountain would force the devs to recant their previous belief that people don't like hard to navigate terrain which is what I want out of anywhere with the label of "Underdark." So alas I don't think they'll go there...but at least if we go beyond the crags and the Neverwinter Wood we could see more swamp lands or plains whichc would be a nice change from the current areas.

    Undermountain: Crazy Coot.
    Underdark: Dinner.

EDIT - I am going to assume you are not familiar with the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting.

Undermountain is a big dungeon under Waterdeep where basically the imagination is the limit. It's basically a living maze and even though you are hundreds of feet below ground you could suddenly find yourself in a tropic jungle like Journey to the Center of the Earth. It's not a place you would find vendors and if you did they would be crazy hermit-like people that collect stuff and trade with the once a decade passer-by.

As for the Underdark...it's already in the game but I am not a fan of the implementation. The underdark is supposed to be a confusing maze-like network of tunnels with danger around every corner. Even being within a settlement in the underdark will be dangerous...if you are just out in the middle of the cave networks alone you will become food.

You're asking Cryptic to be truly creative and expansive in its game design... When, even when they were doing a GOOD job, have they been both creative AND expansive? There are MANY examples of one or the other, or a middling amount of both, but never both in full glory. Cryptic, especially the Neverwinter team, just isn't that innovative. Maybe at one time.... but those times have passed, much to my sadness.

Undermountian would be supremely cool, but we'll never see it. More likely would be a more content set in the Underdark. I would love to see a huge cave complex set in a map the size of SoMI. Tight confines where you can't just run around monsters, traps, random monster spawns... and loot that is worth running around such a nightmarish zone for. That would be awesome. I would be utterly shocked if we ever see anything approaching this though, unless the current Neverwinter management team is replaced with folks that actually know what they're doing.

Undermountain Sounds azmazing! Traps that could 1 shot you and having to use your brain to navigate a Living maze would be pretty Epic, that being if the Rewards were amazing also.
