Question: AOE resist and the DR cap.

This is a tough question, one I'm not sure anyone has tested since the beginning. But does AOE resist stack ontop of the 80% DR cap?

No, it doesn’t. That’s how you test it:

1) Log in a OP.
2) Find an enemy that uses AoE (for example a Thayan Wizard in WoD).
3) Let him hit you with and without AoE Resistance, to check how this bonus works. The Incoming Damage Effectiveness registered by ACT will be lower with AoE Resistance.
4) Wear your AoE Resistance and use Sanctuary. The Effectiveness will be 20%, so it’s affected by the DR cap.
