Celadine Tower - can't complete

Went to Celadine tower and freed the first ghost. When I tried to free the one on its left, I was put into combat state and was unable to interact with the gate to open it. Without being able to free the two remaining ghosts, the dungeon can not be completed.

This happens to me about one time out of ten. It's like one of the enemies that spawn at that door during the first fight gets stuck in a wall. To work around it, just leave and come back in to reset it all. I haven't yet had it happen to me twice in a row.
